The millenary Capital of the Tahuantinsuyo Empire is located near the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Cusco has been officially declared Historical Capital of Peru and Archeological Capital of America. MACHU PICCHU
The Sacred City of Machu Picchu is perched on the eastern slopes of the Andes and is considered at a worldwide level as one of the most important archeological remains of humanity. This impressive legacy of ancient Peruvians, in the abyss of the Urubamba Valley, with the density of a rain forest vegetation, is a place of incredible vertigo. The Main Square is located at a height of 2,350 meters above sea level.
